CBE’s Ronan Steede and Ciarán Brady help Corofin GAA capture historic 3 in-a-row Club All-Ireland
Congratulations to our colleagues Ronan Steede and Ciarán Brady on securing a historic 3 in-a-row Senior Club All-Ireland Football Championships with their club Corofin GAA.
Though they still trail Nemo Rangers (7) and Crossmaglen Rangers (6)
in the Roll of Honour there is a justifiable case for arguing that
completing the hat-trick of wins makes them the greatest team in the
40-year history of the competition.
Though they’re considered the most entertaining team in the competition, it wasn’t their finest performance but they showed their battling qualities when required. After a disappointing 60 minutes of play that finished up 0-7 points apiece extra time was required and the reigning champions showed their class.
By rattling off 1-4 without reply in the first half of extra-time, Corofin ran out eventual winners by 1-12 to 0-7. CBE’s Ronan Steede was awarded Man of the Match for the second game in a row, dominating midfield and scoring 3 crucial points throughout the game.
